FABL Book Sale

The chill is in the air, leaves have fallen and so are the prices at the FABL (Friends at Beloit Library) book sale. We will again feature a super book sale: Buy a brown bag full of books for $3 or buy adult hardback books for $.50, or paperback books and children’s books for $.25.

Meet the Author: Jim Thompson

There are many sheep in the world, but maybe none quite like PEANUT, the star of the heartwarming true story, “Peanut of Blind Faith Farm” written by Wisconsin author, Jim Thompson. The book is described as a delightful book for adults and children alike. Peanut was a tiny lamb born blind, when hobby farmer Jim and his wife helped her survive and thrive.

Hoo's Woods Raptor Program

For ages 5 and up. Join Dianne Moller, a licensed educator, falconer, rehabilitator, eagle handler, and founder of Hoo's Woods Raptor Center in Milton, as she shares the behaviors of different birds of prey, how the environment and other ecological changes affect their survival, and what we can do to help these amazing birds. She will be bring a golden eagle and three other raptors to our event.

Join us on November 11 (the Saturday before the Packers and Bears game) as author Jim Rice talks about 92 years worth of rivalry between the Packers and da Bears! We invite you to wear your favorite team's colors and sit accordingly. The event is FREE, but there is limited seating, so registration is required
